We are looking for a passionate General Manager to lead our team in Brooklyn, Melbourne.


Reporting to the Managing Director of the Australis Music Group, you will be a key member of the group executive team and responsible for developing strategies to improve efficiency, hitting financial targets and managing overall operations within the CMI business.

The role is responsible for directly overseeing the Sales, Brand Management and Logistics function, interacting with Central Services on Marketing, IT, Finance and HR related activities.


Duties will include:

  • Working with Sales and Brand Management teams to support relationships with vendors and customers.
  • Identifying business opportunities and ensuring they are maximised with growth strategies in place.
  • Overseeing daytoday operations, ensuring smooth running of the CMI business including direct leadership responsibility for Sales, Brand Management and Logistics functions
  • Working with the MD, CCO and CFO to design strategy and set goals for growth
  • Evaluating and improving operations and financial performance
  • Developing and providing solutions to business issues that may occur

You will have the following characteristics and experience:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role within the Pro-audio or musical instrument space
  • Solid experience in a business development function with proven ability to grow revenue
  • Knowledge of business process and functions (Logistics, Finance, Procurement etc.)
  • Experience in utilising technology to improve efficiency
  • Outstanding organisational and leadership skills
  • Commercially focussed
  • Sales driven
  • It would be highly regarded to speak Mandarin

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Performance bonus
