About the role


The Director Occupational Therapy /Associate Program Director, Allied Health, Acute & Aged Medicine, is accountable for the profession-specific standards of practice for the Occupational Therapy profession across Eastern Health and for the allied health standards of practice within the Acute & Aged Medicine Program which includes: effective leadership and management of the allied health workforce operationally and professionally within the Acute & Aged Medicine program across Eastern Health.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:
Eligibility for membership of OT Australia

Current Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Agency (AHPRA)

Demonstrated high-level leadership and change management skills

Demonstrated clinical and management experience in acute and subacute services as well as multi
- disciplinary models of care

Demonstrated expertise in healthcare finance and budget management

Demonstrated expertise in health industry workforce and industrial systems

Demonstrated ability to lead high performing teams and individuals and address underperformance issues as they arise

Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully implement creative solutions to complex systemic and organisational problems

Awareness and understanding of National Standards and Accreditation Standards

High level communication, written and verbal, with demonstrated high level of inter personal skills with consumers, their families and all health care professionals

Commitment to ongoing professional development
