Job description:

On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency based in Geelong, we are looking for APS4 and APS5 Procurement Officers to join the Procurement team on a 12 month assignment.

The positions are across various Procurement streams but predominantly for the Procurement Reporting and Contract Management stream.

The Procurement Officers will;

  • Maintain an understanding of procurement and contract functions and relevant legislative guidance
  • Deliver support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement rules and guidelines
  • Assist with tracking value for money based outcomes and prepare reports against KPIs
  • Prepare a range of procurement related documentation
  • Manage all corporate master data
  • Develop and maintain procedures for data collection, input, management and control
  • Provide administrative support to ensure ICT procurement activities are conducted in line with legislative requirements
  • Manage and undertake reporting and verification activities through the financial management system
  • Draft procurement and contract related documents

To be considered you will demonstrate;

  • Strong administrative background
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills and abilities
  • Resilience and the willingness to adapt in a quickly changing environment
  • Strong skills in MS Office, Power BI, SAP
  • Previous procurement experience or qualifications in procurement
  • Knowledge and/or exposure to government procurement would be advantageous
