Summary

About the Role


Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for maximising total revenue potential for Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park across assigned market segments.

With a focus on relationship building, acquisition of new business, and also the retention and development of existing business, in line with personal business plan goals.


You will focus on providing an extremely high level of professional expertise and customer focus to all acquisitions, retention and development clients which in turn maximises hotel revenue and profitability.

As part of the Sales & Marketing team, you will be a spokesperson and voice-of-brand.

You will have a real impact on the growth and evolution of Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park, working with people who are incredibly motivated and passionate about what they do inside and out.


Main Responsibilities

  • To manage an agreed portfolio of accounts, allocated according to market segment through reactive sales activities.
  • To achieve established monthly revenue and business development targets as set by the Director of Sales
  • Attend major travel and trade shows and corporate functions to promote the hotel.
  • To showcase Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park through achieving client entertainment targets as set by the Director of Sales
  • To work closely with the Sales team on sales leads to maximise conversion and total hotel revenues. This could involve a combination of both quoting and following up on proposals to ensure maximum conversion potential.
  • To work closely with the Director of Sales and Hyatt National Sales colleagues to ensure key account retention and development of sales initiatives for prospect business.
  • Actively crosssell Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park's facilities and other Hyatt properties at all opportunities.
  • Actively pursue marketing intelligence and potential business opportunities on an ongoing basis working with the Director of Sales and the Sales Team to review key account performance and identify opportunities for revenue development.
  • Develop networks with relevant industry sources for site inspections and business leads.
  • Be aware of particular requirements, periodic and special events and associated jargon that will influence the activities and efficient servicing of clients.
  • To ensure Envision accounts are kept up to date adhering to Hyatt standards at all times, and that the trace system is maintained for efficient servicing and follow up of clients.
  • Actively pursue market intelligence and potential business on an ongoing basis (making use of Agency360, Spy Report, media leads and other creative avenues) for revenue development.
  • Be fully conversant with Hyatt loyalty programmes and how they affect clients e.g. World of Hyatt
  • Be fully versed in all Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park's facilities and services so as to effectively onsell and upsell all areas.
  • To manage an agreed portfolio of accounts, allocated according to market segment.
  • To maintain up to date knowledge of competitor products and activities (including their key client base).
  • In line with integrated marketing and communication commitments, ensure you project an attitude which incorporates the following:
