About SAPM:


The Surgery, Anaesthesia and Procedural Medicine Division (SAPM) is responsible for over 50,000 procedures per year being delivered to the community serviced by Austin Health.

This includes; elective surgery, emergency surgeries and procedure base care across 11 operating theatres at the Austin site (AOS) and 8 operating theatres at The Surgery Centre (TSC).

Austin Health's SAPM Division is the largest of all of the Operational Divisions. The following Divisional specialties and services are provided within many wards and

departments of Austin Health including theatres, specialist clinics, elective surgery and endoscopy booking teams and surgical wards at Austin Hospital and Repatriation Hospital sites

About the role:


Along with being able to help develop and drive initiatives, the Improvement Advisor role will provide valuable improvement methodology expertise as well as coaching support to the ES Reform Unit.


About you:

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Experience in group facilitation, improvement capability building and coaching, and delivery of training
  • Highly developed interpersonal and collaboration skills; Demonstrated ability to coach for improved performance at all levels of the organisation, and leading and motivating leaders and teams to successfully adopt and sustain improvement
- excellent communication, influence and relationship building skills- excellent organisation skills
