The opportunity
As the

Manager, Data and Analytics, you will report to the Director Data Strategy and Analytics and play a key role in the Research and Innovation division. You will lead a team that delivers data analytics and insights projects, data science and data visualisations. You will work with key business users to ensure that data and analytics activities support business goals. You will also ensure that the Data and Analytics team provides reliable, high-quality and timely data and reporting services.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and coach a team of data and reporting specialists to support organisational and digital needs.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledgesharing within the team to mitigate risks and increase capacity.
  • Manage and support a geographically dispersed team to work effectively and harmoniously.
  • Develop and implement robust, secure and appropriate reporting designs.
  • Support and lead the team on Agile and Lean practices.
  • Improve data quality by promoting and enforcing good data governance and standards.
  • Deliver consistent and seamless data and analytic developments.
  • Ensure proper documentation of requirements and design specifications.
  • Work with the ePMO to define resources and estimates based on requirements and design.
  • Coordinate and delegate data and analytics implementation to support team development.
  • Communicate with key vendors to understand future direction, new technologies and opportunities.
  • Identify solution options, enhancements and recommendations.
  • Participate in developing a positive and supportive team culture within and across departments.
  • Monitor and ensure timely resolution of incidents, service requests and demands assigned to the team.
  • Support the growth of a data driven culture and data literacy across Silverchain.
  • Enhance the internal data and analytics capabilities by keeping up with industry trends.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to forecast data and analytics needs.

About you

  • Experience in a leadership role in agedcare, health and/or data field is desirable.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Leadership, Analytics, Data Science, etc.
  • Expert communication and leadership influence skills.
  • Experienced leader in coaching and mentoring cross functional team members.
  • Deep understanding of the full lifecycle of data and analytics development:
  • Knowledge of relational databases, data science and analytics techniques.
  • Experience in leading insights generation from disperse data and analysis.
  • Experience in data visualisation technologies such as Power BI.
  • Experience in data profiling techniques to analyse data from source systems.
  • Experience across the full data and reporting development lifecycle.
  • Experience with Lean and Agile delivery frameworks and flexible and adaptable work approach.
  • Proactive, solutionsfocused and autonomous work attitude.
  • Sound negotiating and influencing skills to guide stakeholders in data and reporting.
  • Ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively with best practice methods.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of the Microsoft DevOps capability is desirable.
  • Ability to support the design of reports in the PowerBI Platform is desirable.
  • Strong Knowledge of Data Science is desirable.
