Who are we looking for?


We are seeking a ARC Centre Coordinator to join School of Communication, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, Academic Division.


The QUT node of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society (ADM+S) is seeking an experienced and motivated administrator capable of working autonomously to be responsible for coordinating day-to-day operations of the Centre.

The ARC Centre Coordinator duties span administration of ADM+S activities at QUT, undertaking human resources and financial processes, event and travel organisation, executive support to the Associate Director, and meeting and committee support.

About the area


The ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society (ADM+S) is a cross-disciplinary, national research centre, which aims to create the knowledge and strategies necessary for responsible, ethical, and inclusive automated decision-making.

The Digital Media Research Centre (DMRC) hosts the QUT node of the ARC Centre of Excellence for ADM+S..

What you need to succeed

  • Education, training, and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of an undergraduate qualification, together with relevant experience in providing administrative support in a university research environment or similar large and complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated highly developed organisation, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the proven ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of management, staff and external parties on complex, sensitive and confidential issues.
  • Proven ability to work independently, use initiative and prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a demanding environment with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
  • Demonstrated experience in event management, procurement and reporting.
