We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Development Manager (ADM), Build to Rent to join our to join our Melbourne team.


The Assistant Development Manager (ADM) is responsible to ensure successful design, construction and delivery for relevant Build to Rent projects.


Your responsibilities are but not limited to:
Support the Development Manager to successfully manage the delivery of Build to Rent (BTR) projects.
Assist with planning, communication (LIV | Mirvac & Leasing), design development & documentation and construction (procurement & delivery).
Assist with the management of the following
- project visioning, concept planning, community consultation, branding & communication (during development and delivery).
Assist with the development / finalisation of the BTR Project Brief.
Assist with the appointment of all Consultants for the projects with support / collaboration with the Project Design Manager.

Take direction from and support from the Development Manager to ensure all aspects of key design and construction disciplines are effectively managed to maximise project, customer, market, and feasibility objectives and ensure Mirvac standards and the Project Brief are met.

Assist with the management of the project feasibility and development programme.
Establish / manage budgets and cash flows accurately.
Assist with providing regular, comprehensive, and concise communication on delivery status to BTR executive team.

Proactively manage, review, and interrogate the design from Concept design through Detailed Design, AFT and AFC construction phases to ensure and enforce compliance with BTR requirements and the Project Brief in accordance with contractual obligations.

Undertake regular review of design outputs, documentation, buildability, drawings, and prototypes to ensure project performance meets BTR requirements for quality, customer outcomes, operational success, and durability.

Assist with entering, negotiating, and finalising key project documents including the Project Brief, Technical Requirements, Heads of Agreement, Agreement for Lease, and various forms of Development Agreements.

Assist with writing formal business correspondences, reports, and presentations.

Experience in legal, regulatory, and other industry matters with the ability to provide recommendations for actions internally within project feasibility.

Possess thorough market knowledge and understanding of the market, including keeping up to date with competing developments and developing key commercial relationships with external parties.

Promote and demonstrate a culture of excellence, collaboration, communication, and innovation which is open and transparent at all times to foster trust and encourage a shared understanding of all stakeholder requirements and drivers.

The ADM will be based in Melbourne but may be required to travel interstate from time to time.
