As a Process Engineer at PPG, you will:

Be responsible for the optimisation & continuous improvement of processes within our Clayton manufacturing facility. Use your existing skills to troubleshoot manufacturing processes, monitor modifications and upgrades while supporting lab trial and scale up of products. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering a great career path within our global organisation

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Follow PPG's EH&S regulations by adhering to guidelines & procedures for safe work practices - your safety is our number one priority
  2. Drive continuous improvement and process engineering support
  3. Troubleshoot existing manufacturing processes
  4. Identify strategies and implement actions to reduce cycle time, improve yield and prevent defective production
  5. Monitor modifications and upgrades
  6. Support laboratory trials and scale up of products
Qualifications:

Degree qualified from an engineering discipline is essential (mechanical or chemical preferred)

Proven experience within a manufacturing process engineering environment

An understanding of SAP production planning, scheduling bill of materials as well as recipe and resource management would be advantageous, however not vital

Strong stakeholder management skills as you work closely with multiple strategic business units

Comfortable to work within a dangerous goods, chemical facility with strict safety rules
