ABOUT THE POSITION

Our company is in search of an experienced Senior Engineer Process to join us on a two-year fixed-term full-time basis at our Kwinana Refinery, operating on a family-friendly Monday to Friday schedule.

The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the process design and management.

In addition to embodying our core values of distinction, pragmatism, honesty, tenacity, and innovation, we are seeking an individual who can provide solutions, make decisions through analysis and good judgment, offer clear direction, and demonstrate effective planning and organization.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage process design, mass, and energy balance of the plant
  • Create plant operating procedures
  • Contribute to formulating the detailed production plan
  • Analyze and optimize production processes
  • Responsible for production reporting and providing production and inventory data for financial reports
  • Enhance operational performance through process improvements and capital projects
  • Ensure team and process safety, as well as environmental compliance
  • Lead in implementing process safety principles
  • Create production and material strategies
  • Establish manufacturing goals and define plant capacities
  • Model and simulate plant operations
  • Prepare and submit reports to management
  • Develop quality standards and procedures
  • Monitor and optimize production processes
  • Assess production performance and analyze non-conformance trends
  • Assist in budget preparation and cost control
  • Identify key cost drivers and plan capital investments
  • Manage business risk and change initiatives

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in the industry or similar field
  • Experience in operation and design of similar refinery processes
  • Dedication to safety and staff wellbeing
  • Advocate for continuous improvement in operational processes
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering
  • Experience in leading process engineering teams
