We currently have an opportunity someone to join our team working in the role of Property Acquisitions and Divestment Coordinator.


As Property Acquisitions and Divestment Coordinator, you will lead and manage the delivery of Council's Divestment and Acquisition Program to generate alternative streams of income for Council's property portfolio.

This will be done by strategically coordinating Councils property development to optimise the value of the portfolio and by assisting the Manager Commercial Services in achieving the highest and best use of Council-owned property in accordance with various adopted strategies and policies.

The Property Acquisitions and Divestment Coordinator will work closely with other members of the Commercial Services Branch and stakeholders to ensure effective management of Council's property activities including land development, subdivision, sales, acquisition, leasing, licensing and land exchange as per Council's policies and guidelines.


  • Temporary full time, 35 hours per week until 1 January 202
  • Annual salary from $84,624.80 to $100, depending on qualifications, skills and experience)

What you'll need to be successful in the role...

  • Tertiary qualifications in property development, property management, land economics, real estate management, urban planning, town planning; architecture or other appropriately related field; or extensive relevant knowledge and experience
  • Proven project management and property management experience, including high level experience in commercial and property negotiations and understanding of probity and confidentiality issues
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge and/or experience in property acquisition, commercially viable property development and property/facility management
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, managing and contributing to strategic, complex, diverse, sensitive projects with multidisciplinary teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the management of contracts and consultancy services
  • An awareness of and commitment to the principles of Work Health and Safety (WHS) and to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)
  • Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence or equivalent
  • Good interpersonal, written and graphical communication skills, including analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong presentation and group facilitation skills
  • The ability to effectively undertake research.
