The Head of Cyber Security will lead a team of security professionals and will work closely with other departments to develop and implement effective security strategies and protocols.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive information security policies and procedures, including security architecture, risk management, and incident response plans
  • Identify, assess, and manage cyber security risks related to the organization's information assets and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies
  • Influence the development, implementation, and maintenance of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and other security tools through policies and auditing
  • Oversee the testing and evaluation of security controls and technologies to ensure they are effective and efficient
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations
  • Manage the organization's incident response program and coordinate response activities in the event of a security incident
  • Monitor emerging security threats and vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks
  • Provide regular reports and updates to CDTO on the status of the organization's security posture and make recommendations for improvements as needed
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of security professionals

The ingredients to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in information security, including experience leading a team of security professionals
  • Strong knowledge of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and other security tools
  • Experience developing and implementing information security policies and procedures
  • Strong understanding of relevant security standards and regulations, including PCI DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • CISSP, CISM, or other relevant security certifications preferred
