Overview


We at NEC are looking for a Switchboard operator, who enjoys working on a high-volume switchboard, servicing customers in a professional and timely manner.

In this role you will be r esponsible for all internal and external calls, for both the Victorian Government switchboard and the NEC internal switchboard.


Professional Experience Required:

  • Demonstrated experience operating a busy switchboard with high and consistent call volumes
  • Able to handle most calls in a measured timeframe
  • Intermediate Computer literate level, including (databases & internet)
  • Excellent telephone manner, communication skills and customer service
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative in problem solving and in exercising judgement.
  • Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously and cooperatively with other people and to work independently at all times without supervision.
