About our opportunity


Our Construction Crew Leaders are responsible for delivering assigned construction tasks by leading a team of internal and external resources (including a small work crew and contractors) and undertaking general labouring duties on construction projects as required.

You will be required to interpret job plans, conduct survey set out of projects (with limited assistance from construction management) and effectively and consistently run construction projects ranging in size, scope and complexity in the absence of construction management representatives.


This position will have you engaging with a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders and ensuring the principles of safety, quality assurance and environmental risk management are being applied correctly throughout the Civil Construction projects allocated.


About you
To be successful in this role ideally you will have experience in a similar position.

You will also have substantial knowledge of relevant construction materials and capability of plant and equipment - including hand tools, strong knowledge of survey principles and current survey technology - including construction specifications and standards.

Ideally you will have experience in the day to day management of Construction day labour teams (including contractors) on a range of construction projects and a solid level of written and verbal communication skills.

Paired with the above listed experience, you will possess:

  • Certificate III in Civil Construction or other relevant field or the ability to obtain within a period of 12 months
  • _This qualification will be mandatory to progress through the Crew Leader Framework_
  • Current MR class driver's license
  • High risk work (HRW) dogman (DG) license or the ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Construction Induction Card
  • Electrical Awareness or the ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Traffic Control Level 1 & Level 2 or equivalent _highly desirable_
