Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream B) - Level 6 of the EBA- 9 day fortnight

  • 76 hour fortnight
  • Location: Burpengary please note, this position will be moving to a Narangba location later in the coming months.

About our opportunity


This position will have you identifying roads/drainage infrastructure defect causes and delivering assigned maintenance by leading a small team of operational staff.

You will be identifying materials and methods to rectify infrastructure defects, allocating appropriate plant to complete the required work, developing and reviewing plans and maintenance schedules and maintaining associated records as well as engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders.


About you


Ideally you will have demonstrated experience in a similar position with previous exposure to and knowledge of open drainage systems and experience working with and leading a small team.


You will bring your knowledge of construction practices and procedures related to drainage and knowledge of heavy plant capability, your strong communication skills and your ability to adapt to a range of technology solutions and undertake administrative activities relevant to this position.


Paired with the above mentioned skills and experience, you will also hold a current truck licence (minimum medium rigid - MR class) and a Construction Induction card.

You will also either hold or be willing to obtain a Traffic Management Implementation licence and a high risk work dogging (HRW DG) licence within 6 months of commencement.

It would be considered desirable if you have completed a Certificate III in Civil Construction and Plant Operations, Certificate III in Civil Construction or another similar qualification but not mandatory, though the qualification will be mandatory to progress through the Crew Leader Framework.
