We are looking for an

experienced Concrete Finisher to carry out concrete maintenance and construction activities in the Burpengary area.

What we are offering:

- $33.09 p/h + Super + Penalties.

  • Monday to Friday Roster.
  • 3 months of work that may lead to fulltime.
  • Opportunity to work for Local Government.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform concrete construction and maintenance works, and general labouring on construction and maintenance projects.
  • Identify civil infrastructure defects and their causes, and be able to correctly identify materials and methods for repair of defects.
  • Plan daily work, including measuring and calculating quantities of materials required and maintaining accurate and timely work records.
  • Maintain good working relations and deal cooperatively and professionally with staff and the public
  • Work with different crews across the region to cover staff leave and vacancies where required, ensuring a high level of service is maintained.
  • Carry out maintenance inspections of civil infrastructure.

What you need to have:

  • Demonstrated relevant experience in a similar role or a role requiring a similar skill set.
  • Experience in concrete works including the ability to place, level, and finish concrete of various types such as exposed aggregate, stamped and stenciled
  • Demonstrated numeracy, and written and verbal communication skills sufficient to undertake administrative duties necessary for the role, read safety instructions, and plans, and effectively communicate with the public and team members.
  • Sound experience in undertaking manual tasks in a safetyconscious manner.

Qualifications:

  • Current MR class driver's licence
  • Construction induction card competency that has been obtained in the last 2 years
