The key responsibilities are (but not limited to) the following:

  • Carry out general maintenance around the club, repairing a large array of painting, building and planned maintenance
  • Ensure all logged maintenance jobs are followed up and completed in a timely manner
  • Equipment removal and reinstallation
  • Document and maintain maintenance records and hazard identification, reporting any incidents or near misses through WHS processes
  • Provide essential service audits, and work with suppliers with warranties and ordering spare parts
To be eligible for this position you must meet the below criteria;

  • Have previous maintenance experience
  • Must have own vehicle (van or ute)
  • Ability to perform manual tasks, including; heavy lifting, climbing stairs and completing tasks at ground and overhead level
  • Level 2 First Aid and CPR
  • Police Check

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced, physically demanding role
  • Have strong communication skills both written and verbal and natural ability to build working relationships and rapport with our club managers and all other staff
  • Have strong organisational and prioritisation skills and be comfortable working autonomously
  • Be confident managing and coordinating external contractors
  • Have a passion for the fitness industry and a willingness to learn
  • Be adaptable. No two days are the same

Skills/experience:

  • 3 years + experience as a handyman/women
  • Experience repairing gym equipment highly desirable
  • Trade qualification in fitting/mechanical background desirable
  • Experience maintaining and working from a maintenance log system
  • Australian driver's license and clean driving record
  • Forklift license is highly desirable
