This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with community and other stakeholders to improve the lives of children and families.


You will be given the opportunity to develop innovative programs that build community capacity, facilitate community connections and assist with the provision of effective and appropriate children and family services to the Mosman community.

What You'll Be Working On
You will oversee the development, implementation, evaluation and reporting on the Mosman Council Children and Families Operational Plan.

You will deliver key projects to support children and families to reach their full potential.

These include a weekly playgroup, training and capacity building activities for families and local providers and annual events including Children's Week, Child Protection Week, and the Children's Fair.

You will work with all Council Departments to embed child safe practices across all Council programs and activities.

What You'll Bring to the Role
This role is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about child rights and early childhood.

You will hit the ground running and will put your community development skills into practice and build meaningful community connections with children, families and the early Childhood Sector.


With tertiary qualifications (minimum Diploma level) in early childhood education, social sciences or a related industry, you will bring demonstrated experience (at least 3 years), in an early childhood or children and families setting including managing programs, projects and staff.


You will have high-level knowledge of the Children's Services sector, policy directions, legislative changes, current issues, trends, and implications on service delivery.


In addition to the above, you will also hold a valid Covid-19 vaccination certificate and a current C Class Drivers Licence.
