This NSW government agency is a major service provider who strives to deliver a more consistent and innovative experience within the development of New South Wales government.

Our client is looking for a Governance Officer to support the development, maintenance and implementation of the risk, resilience and policy management frameworks to ensure effective risk mitigation, safe workplaces and preparedness for disruptive events.


About the Role

  • Develop, implement and administer risk and resilience policies, procedures and processes, including enterprise risk management, business continuity, work health and safety and the corporate policy framework.
  • Develop and maintain risk, resilience and policy registers and documentation, and work with stakeholders to understand and implement risk treatment actions and to maintain effective policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative and secretariat support services for the corporate policy and risk management committees, maintain forward workplans, coordinate feedback on proposed policies across the Department and ensure the currency and appropriate distribution of approved policies.
  • Monitor, report and prepare documentation for evaluation purposes on the performance of governance frameworks, including meeting external reporting obligations across the Department.
  • Support the operation of governance processes, tools, policies, and administrative systems to ensure compliance with agency standards, policies, and procedures.

About You

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience working in a similar role/industry
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of risk and resilience policies, procedures and processes
