Mission and Scope

The System Engineering, Integration and Testing (SEIT) Manager provides technical leadership and direction in the application of systems engineering practices and processes to deliver Information Technology capabilities to customers. Thisresponsibility includes managing resources to deliver quality outcomes within assigned budgets, schedule and scope.​

The SEIT Manager will directly manage a multi-disciplined team and work collaboratively with other project teams to deliver business outcomes. Direct customer liaison will also be required.​

The SEIT Manager will directly report to the Engineering Manager on systems engineering, integration and test project aspects including performance metrics and progress status.​

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of the role will include, but is not limited to: ​

Provides leadership and technical direction to the SEIT team and more broadly across the project and organisation.​ Application of system engineering practices and processes to deliver complex IT capabilities to customers and other business outcomes.​ Delivery of quality outcomes to customers to schedule, within budget and to agreed scope.​ Development and implementation of systems engineering processes and procedures.​ Management of product configuration baselines in accordance with configuration management standards and processes.​ Management of product system requirements and setting requirements for software development and other disciplines.​ Management of system integration.​ Management of verification of compliance against specifications and requirements to achieve customer acceptance.​ Management of development and delivery of Integrated Logistics Support artifacts.​ Attendance and contribution to relevant engineering and project management reviews. ​ Management of development and delivery of engineering and other assigned technical contract deliverables

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Essential:

Minimum 10 years' experience ​ Proven engineering leadership and management experience​ Proven experience in using Systems Engineering approaches to deliver complex Information Technology capabilities​ Software and/or Information Technology practical experience ​ Undergraduate four-year degree in a relevant engineering discipline ​ Holds an Australian government NV1 security clearance​ Eligible to access ITAR controlled technology ​

Highly Desirable:

Chartered Professional Engineering status or eligibility​ Registered professional engineer in an Australian jurisdiction ​ Satellite Communication knowledge and experience​ Experience with delivering programs with an ASDEFCON framework​
