Your Opportunity
As the Manager Performance Monitoring and Reporting, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic advice to the Director, International Operations and the General Manager TAFE Queensland International Education (GMIE), driving the provision of streamlined, professional and timely research and reporting services securing TAFE Queensland's position as a premier provider of vocational education and training to the international market.
  • Leading a geographically dispersed team to coordinate projects, quality and compliance monitoring, and strategic research and market intelligence to support and inform international business activities across TAFE Queensland.
This position reports to the Director, International Operations, TAFE Queensland International Education.
This is a Temporary, Full Time opportunity, to 31 March 2025 unless otherwise determined.

The location for this role can be negotiable to a TAFE Queensland campus, however travel may be required to alternative campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the success of transformation and cultural change through promoting and modelling the established values of Safety First, Working Together, Focussing on our Customer, Taking Responsibility and Showing Initiative.
  • Live a safety culture, lead by example and support the Health Safety and Environment Management System to create a TAFE Queensland wide safety culture.
  • Manage and oversee the provision of high level, accurate reporting to the TQIE Directors, General Managers and other TAFE Queensland Executive staff, allowing effective monitoring of business processes, enterprise performance and compliance against identified targets.
  • As directed by the Director, International Operations, research and report to Management, Executive and the TAFE Queensland Board on industry trends, legislative changes, emerging markets and domestic and international political events which may impact upon the operations and strategic objectives of TAFE Queensland, analysing the implications for TAFE Queensland and recommending strategies to exploit opportunities or mitigate risk.
  • Provide strategic and operational management to the team, to ensure appropriately delegated individual responsibility, set individual and team performance targets and track performance to organisational and team priorities are met.
  • Lead the team in achieving set goals and targets in the areas of research and reporting, quality compliance, and overseas travel processes.
  • Lead the systematic monitoring, review and development of business controls and the management of internal and external audits and other quality control measures, to ensure currency with legislative requirements and that they are effective, equitable, efficient and are aligned with TAFE Queensland's objectives.
  • Provide expert advice to facilitate the use of data management strategies and big data initiatives across TAFE Queensland International Education to ensure all reporting, sales, marketing and engagement plans are informed by accurate, up to date market intelligence and performance data.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance and improvement of performance reporting database tools, ensuring the highest standards of data integrity, security, quality and stakeholder satisfaction are consistently reached.
  • In conjunction with the Director, International Operations, lead and coordinate large crosssystem projects including in relation to surveys, research, travel and organisational reviews.
  • Coordinate and lead the writing of reports, briefing papers and high level submissions, position papers, policies and other documents on key industry issues.
  • Actively represent TAFE Queensland at key forums and lobby state and federal government stakeholders to ensure that the policy and regulatory environments in which TAFE Queensland operates are favourable and conducive to the strategic objectives of TAFE Queensland.
  • Continuously promote new ways of improving efficiency by reducing cost and enhancing outcomes.
  • Manage communication and actively engage with industry, business and the community.
