About the role:

Lead a high performing and motivated team of planning compliance officers.


As a self-motivated statutory planning or compliance leader with a strong track record of achievement, you will be supported as a key player in ensuring high quality development outcomes throughout Merri-bek.

Operating as part of a multi-disciplinary branch, with a reputation of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement you will have leadership responsibility for a team of 6 officers, will help drive customer-centric service delivery to ensure that great planning, design and environmental outcomes are delivered throughout Merri-bek.


Skills and experience require to perform the role:

  • Highly effective leadership skills
  • High level problem solving, investigative and analytical skills with the ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with conflict, complaints and enquiries
  • High level of selfmotivation to complete complex, broad tasks and projects within agreed limitations and meet deadlines.
