The day to day

The successful applicants will undertake a range of duties including the following: Looking after NATA communication and correspondence for the site.

Participating in NATA assessments, including preparation and post audit activities.
Participating in other external audits by clients or certification bodies, including preparation and post audit activities.
Prepare, conduct, and report internal audits covering HSEQ aspects, including lab and field operations.
Conduct and/or participate in workplace Inspections and follow up activities.
Coordinate the update of local methods and procedures.
Manage proficiency testing samples, including reporting, and raising CARs, if required.
Help with method validation, verification according to ALS procedures.
Monitor and follow up corrective actions (CAR) and Incident Reports.
Create calibration schedule; arrange external calibrations and conduct internal calibrations and checks, as required.
Maintaining PPE Register, including supply of lab coats, glasses, dust masks, field clothing etc.
Ensure the Life Sciences chemical register is current for the site.
Conducting risk assessments, as required.
Coordinating health management, including injury, vaccination, and health monitoring, if required.
Coordinating any environmental initiatives.
Coordinating waste management, including chemical waste.
Managing contractors.
Coordinating training; including arranging or delivery of training.
Maintaining records of training, skills, competency, and qualifications.

The Essentials The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:
Previous experience in safety, quality or auditing is preferable.
Diploma / Degree in an appropriate discipline and/or several years' experience in a related role.
Ability/experience to carry out training sessions for staff.
Good knowledge and understanding of NATA and safety requirements.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Good planning and organizational skills.
Demonstrated judgment and problem-solving skills.
Advance computer skills (MS Office).
Excellent verbal and written skills.
