Our client is a high profile organisation with a head office based in the Adelaide CBD.

With a portfolio spread across metropolitan and regional SA the diversity of assets includes corporate accommodation, operation centres, heritage listed property and training facilities.


The Role
The primary functions of this role are to oversee the capital works of the organisation, manage a small team of experienced project managers and manage key stakeholder relationships

Key duties will include:

  • Manage and plan annual capital works programs
  • Overall management of the Capital Works Unit including minor and major capital works
  • Provide advice and direction to staff in relation to project planning and delivery
  • Budgetary management
  • Prepare submissions and reports to management relating to the department as well as capital works projects
  • Involvement in setting the strategic direction for overall asset management and service delivery
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal clients and external consultants

Skills & Experience

To step into this busy role you will be a senior project manager, ideally coming from a building/capital works background.

You will be experienced in running and managing a team and adept at both the technical aspects of project management as well as reporting to management.

You will have strong communication skills and the ability to write and prepare detailed documents and reports. A current police clearance will be required. A tertiary qualification in project management, construction management or relevant discipline is required.
