The Role:


Johns Lyng Group are currently looking for a Purchasing Officer to join the purchasing team and support with day-to-day duties to ultimately achieve targets and company set goals.

Reporting into the Purchasing Manager, you will be required to support the team source the best products and supplies at a competitive price in the current market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management and maintenance of spreadsheets and registers.
  • Raise purchase orders for the business when required.
  • Review and managing inventory levels.
  • Request for quotes from various suppliers and analysing best pricing in line with business strategy.
  • Liaise with external suppliers of the business and build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Keyin invoices and work with closely with the accounts payable team.
  • Develop, and improve processes.

About You:

  • A degree in a relevant class of business required.
  • Supply Chain Management or Logistics major highly preferrable.
  • An understanding of purchasing and/or logistics (required).
  • A strong knowledge of software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Demonstrated high level of organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Determined with a willingness to learn.
  • Extremely motivated whilst demonstrating drive and energy.
  • Positive & proactive attitude.
  • Ability to manage a demanding and changing workload & competing priorities.
