The position is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.

Pay Band:

- $520 - $660 Per day

NV1 Clearance required
Hybrid working arrangements possible(minimum 3 days each week in the office)

Offices in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Geelong.

Duties

  • Assessing the cyber security position of external stakeholders and providing advice internally to mitigate risks.
  • Providing advice and completing work, ensuring the Agency meets all legal and regulatory for Agency Information Technology security, including remaining up to date with amendments to the Information Security Manual and Protective Security Policy Framework.
  • Consulting, writing and overseeing the creation of policies and procedures.
  • Providing advice and guidance on cyber trends, most likely and dangerous threats, applicable security controls and standards.
  • Overseeing, providing peer review and completing risk assessments

Essential criteria

  • Experience with Australian Government governance concepts with a focus on ICT, policy/standards development, documentation of frameworks, and assisting in the reporting to Senior Executive.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and provide expertise within a team environment and engage with internal/external stakeholders confidently.
