RoleSummary:

The Pinjarand Regional Technical Officer is a newly created opportunity basedfrom our Pinjar power station site, with frequent travel to Synergyremote operation sites such as West Kalgoorlie andMungarra.

This role isfundamental in carrying out high level technical, commercial, andsupervisory activities associated with the operation andmaintenance of the Pinjar and Regional Gas Turbine assets bothwithin and external to Synergy.

Reporting tothe Pinjar Technical Team Lead, the Technical Officer willprimarily be responsible for planned and corrective maintenance andoutage activities at Gas Generations Regional sites.

Keyresponsibilities of the role include:

  • Undertake operations andmaintenance work at the Pinjar and Regional Gas Generationlocations
  • Plan,supervise/coordinate or carry out activities, associated withmanufacture, installation, commissioning, operation andmaintenance/repair of equipment and systems asrequired
  • Carryout technical inspection, prepare reports with recommendationsand/or arrange necessary action
  • Managemaintenance outage projects in accordance with budget, to timetargets whilst maintaining quality standards and develop,authorise, and apply isolations and Permit to Work required formaintenance and outage execution
  • Supervise, monitorperformance, coordinate, and check works carried out by staff,contractors and consultants

Whatyou'll bring:

  • A tradecertificate in Electrical and/or Mechanicaldiscipline
  • Minimumof 5 years' experience in the operation and maintenanceof Gas Turbines, preferably GE Frame series assets.
  • Strongknowledge of inspection/testing practices and experienced inequipment maintenance/repair practices.
