Your new role:


As an experienced Technical Writer in this role, you will make a valuable contribution in developing technical work instructions for scheduled maintenances, repairs and upgrades for our client's Anzac Class vessels.

Reporting to the Work Package Production Lead, you will be part of an inclusive and supportive team, and will join our growing business in an exciting time on a permanent and full time basis.

Please note that this role can also be offered as a Permanent Part-time position if it suits you better.

About you:

As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll:

  • Have experience in reviewing assessments, reports, work manuals, drawings and related documentation for creating work packages and technical documentation
  • Be a confident individual who can communicate with external and internal stakeholders, engineering, technicians, project teams and operators., etc.
  • Experience with using maintenance planning / workflow software such as AMPS or similar
  • Proficient skills using Microsoft Excel, Word and other tools
  • Degree in Engineering or relevant Trade qualification

The desirables:

  • A mechanical or engineering background
  • Experience working in the maritime industry
  • Recent defence security clearance

Clearances:


As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
