RoleSummary:

The OutageProject Lead is a newly created opportunity based at our Pinjarsite. Reporting to the Manager Pinjar & Regional GasGeneration, the Outage Project Lead works as an effective member ofthe Pinjar and Regional team and demonstrates a commitment to drivesafety, stakeholder focus and alignment with the culture ofSynergy.

The OutageProject Lead will ensure the effective execution of contractedmajor maintenance outages, leading the coordination of outageactivities and providing specialist technical and commercial adviceto achieve the agreed outage objectives.

Keyresponsibilities of the role include:

  • Develop,implement, and maintain a robust contract management frameworkand system for extracting maximum value from existing GasGeneration (GG) supplier relationships, collaborating with theProcurement and Commercial departments.
  • Estimateand schedule scopes of work to be performed bycontractors.
  • Plan andexecute outages in accordance with gas generation outageframework.
  • Demonstrate visiblesafety leadership and build an enduring safety culture,maintaining a safe working environment and participating inobservations, audits, and inspections.
  • Supportthe development of the annual business plan including budgetsfor major outages aligned to the Gas Generation asset strategyand develop and deliver Major Maintenance Outage work scopesthat are in accordance with the asset lifecycle plans for thePinjar and Regional Gas Generation assets.

Whatyou'll bring:

  • Tertiaryqualifications in Project/Contractor Management orBusiness/Frontline Management
  • Formalqualifications in engineering or Electrical/Mechanical tradecertification
  • Minimumof 10 years' experience managing and supervisingsuccessful delivery of maintenance and outage contracts inpower generation and/or industrial process industry
  • Extensive knowledge ofgas turbine and generator power station safety and maintenancesystems, equipment, processes and practices
  • Extensive knowledge ofcontract management and financial managementprocesses
