DLA Piper's Investment Management & Funds (IM&F) practice is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Associate or Associate on the cusp of promotion with experience and interest to grow their career specifically in the area of investment funds, asset management and financial services law.
Your role will involve working closely with the team on a diverse range of transactional and advisory work, both locally and internationally. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the strategic development and growth of the IM&F practice and business development planning, with the support of a talented group of lawyers.
You will work closely with each of the 3 senior Partners in the IM&F Australian team. You will also be part of one of the largest investment management and funds practices in the world, with dedicated lawyers working across key global jurisdictions team. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work across a range of funds formation and transactional work, including cross border investmentsTransaction support on deals focussing on real assets sectors including PE, energy/renewables, debt, real estate and infrastructureProvide high quality advice to a broad range of blue-chip global and domestic asset management clientsBuild and maintain strong client relationshipsMentor junior lawyers in the teamAssist with business development and the strategic development of the practiceABOUT YOU
5+ years PQE with experience within funds at a leading firmExcellent analytical, technical and drafting skillsStrong communication and organisational skillsOutstanding academicsThe successful candidate will need to be an engaging, and highly motivated individual with exceptional academic achievements.
