CPP Investments is a professional investment management organization that globally invests the funds of the Canada Pension Plan (CPP) to help ensure long-term sustainability.

The CPP Fund is projected to reach $3 trillion by 2050. CPP Investments invests in all major asset classes, including public equity, private equity, real estate, infrastructure and fixed-income instruments.

Job Description

The Infrastructure team is comprised of experienced professionals working across offices in Sydney, Toronto, London, New York, Sao Paulo and Mumbai.

The team seeks to invest in a diversified portfolio of assets with stable long-term cash flows.

Typically, our investment opportunities are in regulated networks (water, gas, electricity and telecoms), transportation (toll roads, ports, rail and airports) and energy (pipelines and storage) sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse investment opportunities, including reviewing research, financial models, and due diligence reports.
  • Develop investment recommendations outlining potential investment opportunities.
  • Assist with the overall execution of Asia Pacific and global infrastructure investments.
  • Monitor ongoing financial and operational performance of Infrastructure investments.
  • Build and leverage relationships with portfolio company management teams and infrastructure fund managers.

Requirements

  • 2-4 (Associate) / 5-8 (Senior Associate) years' experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting or other relevant areas with an emphasis in infrastructure investments desirable.
  • Strong research, financial modelling, analytical and valuation skills.
  • Experience in conducting due diligence.
  • Professionalism and integrity.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and initiative.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and self-motivation.
