About the role

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the purpose of the Head of Commercial Sales is to lead the development of business connections and commercial sales initiatives across our partner and corporate hospitality portfolio. Your responsibilities will include;


• The execution of an outward-bound sales strategy to attract world class brands


• Identifying and cultivating commercial opportunities


• Innovation of new and unique opportunities to generate new business


• Managing inbound and outbound prospective sales to meet and exceed revenue targets


• Innovating and expanding the fundraising portfolio to continue to grow and assess further opportunities


• Manage existing groups/relationships with existing clients including those in a philanthropic capacity


• Develop, edit and produce sales materials


• Collaborate with the Data & Tech team to implement a new system within hospitality


• Actively participate in activities related to the club and Commercial Leaders Group


• Various other ad hoc tasks as required

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role you will have


• Extensive experience leading a successful sales team preferably in a sporting club and/or media environment


• A successful sales background with experience in creating leads, developing new opportunities and driving revenue growth


• Computer literacy and be technology savvy – Be able to converse and construct best practice techniques to capture and re target data to enhance business results. MS Office Suite and CRM operation is essential
