Our family-centred program meets the Guidelines for Good Practice and supports children with autism to develop essential life skills, independence, and confidence.

Our research program focuses on monitoring and assessing the outcomes of the AEIOU program as well as assessing the impact ASD has not only on children but on families

We aim to:

  • Build an evidence base for the AEIOU program
  • Better understand and meet the needs of children and families attending AEIOU
  • Provide a worldclass resource of information on ASD through conferences, seminars, publications and the media.

The Position:

***The Assessment Coordinator conducts, reports on, and organises regular clinical assessments of our children and their families at our AEIOU childcare centres. You will communicate results to families and centres, maintain assessment records and files, and enter data into a database of results.

Assessments may include the Mullen Scales of Early Learning (MSEL),

Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule:
Third Edition (ADOS-2),

Preschool Language Scales:
Fifth Edition, as well as questionnaires (e.g., Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, Second Edition) completed by parents.

About you:

  • You bring a strong understanding of child development and autism
  • You have experience in conducting standardised assessments with young children
  • You can work well independently, and collaboratively within a small team
  • You come equipped with a Bachelor degree (honours) or above in psychology, special education or allied health.
  • You are able to regularly travel to our centres across Queensland and interstate.
  • Have your COVID19 Vaccination certificate (doubledosed) or an approved Government Exemption.
  • Have a current Paid Blue Card (or able to obtain before commencement)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check required if your Blue Card was applied for or renewed
    post 1 February 2021
