Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Health & Safety Manager to join our client's dynamic team.

This role presents a unique opportunity to lead and drive a positive Health & Safety (H&S) culture within the organization.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of our employees while contributing to the continued success and growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety policies, procedures, and practices in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and standards.

Provide expert guidance and support to all levels of the organization on matters relating to health and safety, promoting a proactive approach to risk management.

Collaborate with department managers and staff to foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organization.

Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, near misses, and hazardous situations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

Monitor and analyze H&S performance metrics, preparing reports and recommendations for senior management to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Stay abreast of developments in health and safety regulations, technologies, and practices, proactively implementing changes to enhance organizational safety standards.

Oversee the management of H&S documentation, records, and training programs, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance.

Requirements:


NEBOSH General (essential)NEBOSH Diploma (advantageous)Proven experience (5+ years) in a health and safety leadership role within the manufacturing industry, with a demonstrable track record of driving positive H&S outcomes.

In-depth knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation, regulations, and standards, with specific familiarity with ISO 45001.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and incident investigations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proactive and results-oriented approach, with a passion for promoting a culture of safety excellence.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive projects to completion within established timelines.
