About the role:

We're on the hunt for a HR Advisor to join SCA's highly skilled and passionate People & Culture team.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner, this national role is the backbone of the HR Business Partnering and Operations team.


What you'll be doing:

  • Provide a broad range of operational HR support, advise and guidance to employees across SCA
  • Create strong relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively with the wider HR Team to provide solutions and support on the development and implementation of HR initiatives.
  • Manage and support on HR matters as required including employee relations, workers compensation, WHS, performance management, termination, grievances & investigations
  • Support stakeholders with HR queries on HR policies, flexible working arrangements, Modern Award interpretation, compliance training administration, L&D scheduling and coordination, parental leave queries, risk assessments and others as required
  • Support the delivery of HR projects as requested by the People and Culture Team
  • Extract, cleanse and analyse data to understand trends and issues, and work with the People and Culture team to draw meaningful insights/recommendations to provide to the business
  • Work closely with Payroll and other stakeholders to coordinate system changes and enhancements, analyse and identify potential issues, test system upgrades and verify functionality
  • Support on contract generation and HRIS admin as required

Experience we're looking for:

  • 23 years in an operational HR role
  • Selfstarter with a roll up your sleeves attitude
  • Exposure to Modern Award interpretation and employee relations highly desirable
  • Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills the ability to relate and explain technical information to all people at any level
