Associate Nurse Unit Manager - Ward 8 Mental Health

The Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join the Mental Health Team at Northern Health. The role is based at Ward 8 Inpatient Unit at Northern Hospital and will be responsible for the effective day-to-day clinical management of the unit working a rotating roster.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A current registration with AHPRA and a Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or, Bachelor Degree in Nursing plus a Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.
  • You will have extensive clinical experience and expertise in mental health with a minimum of 3 years post registration experience in variety of mental health settings
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership within the multidisciplinary workforce.
  • Ability to negotiate and communicate with staff and other service providers
  • Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills
  • Active leadership in Recovery Oriented Practice in line with the National Recovery Framework
