About the role

The Facilities Services Team Leader will oversee a small team to deliver facility management, property maintenance and building services to ensure a property portfolio which optimises community satisfaction, delivers operational efficiency and protects investment. The Facilities Services Team Leader will work within and across a multi-disciplinary Works unit to deliver services to internal and external clients through deployment of a range of in-house staff and externally contracted services.

You will demonstrate efficiency, effectiveness and accountability in all facility maintenance related functions while responding to and delivering to the requirements of annual asset maintenance schedules and works programs for facility maintenance and component renewal.

Requirements

  • Degree qualifications in relevant area/discipline Property, Facility Management, Project Management, Building, Architecture or Engineering.
  • Proven ability to manage, supervise and provide leadership to all team members including facilities professionals and trades.
  • Active involvement and representation in the consultation, design, approval and delivery of facility asset creation, upgrade, renewal, handover, and divestment.
  • Specify, procure, manage all one-off and recurrent facility services contracts across all maintenance, cleaning, building trades and facility service functions.
  • Project manage minor building upgrade and renewal works.
  • Manage a program of scheduled security inspections of unoccupied facilities.
  • Strong written, reporting, verbal, analytical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
  • A contemporary understanding of property services, products, materials, methodologies and technologies.
  • Class C Driver's licence or equivalent.
