Environmental Services Team Leader

  • Permanent Fulltime or Part-Time_
We are seeking an experienced Housekeeper to lead our vibrant team at Kareena Private Hospital.

About the Role
As an Environmental Services Team Leader you will be responsible for

  • Providing the highest standards of cleanliness to all areas of Kareena Private Hospital as directed.
  • This will involve ensuring all equipment utilised on shifts is cleaned, restocked and stored in the appropriate storage areas, in order to keep all staff, patients and families safe.
  • This role will assist the Environmental Services Manager as required to ensure provision of the highest quality department services while working on the floor leading the team handson.

Your effective written and verbal communication skills will assist in providing excellent customer service at all times in line with facility standards, working directions from the Environmental Services Manager and giving instructions to other staff.


You will also bring:

  • Minimum of
    23 years of experience in hospital cleaning, or similar cleaning role
  • Thorough understanding of chemical safety and hazard/infection control principles
  • Previous experience in a team lead or supervisor role is essential.
  • Act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with customers and staff
  • Basic computer skills
  • Hands on experience with floor cleaning machinery including floor scrubbers is essential
  • Experience in linen management and ordering
  • Experience in waste handling practices
