Public Sector People are working with a local council seeking a highly motivated and experienced Risk and Compliance Officer to join their Governance, Risk and Compliance Program Team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting procedures and processes relating to internal audit, risk management, and compliance
  • Implementing governance risk and compliance technology systems
  • Supporting the delivery of Council's risk and compliance framework reporting processes
  • Responding to queries from other branches on audit, risk, and compliance services and practices
  • Supporting investigations and making recommendations with respect to risk management and compliance matters

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in risk management and compliance
  • Knowledge of local government audit, risk, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to draft procedures and processes and implement governance risk and compliance technology systems
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Pay and Benefits:

- $39.24 per hour + super

This is a full-time contract role starting as soon as possible, ending on 30th June 2023 with the possibility of extension in the new financial year.

The working hours are 38 hours per week and the location is 150 Wembley road LOGAN.
