CFO for a growing business to support the business growth ambitions through establishing finance as a trusted business partner

As a dynamic and rapidly growing company, the CFO will drive strategic growth and shape the future of the organisation.

Position Purpose: As the CFO, you will assume a pivotal role in managing the financial operations of the business, partnering closely with the CEO and Board to drive growth initiatives. Your responsibilities will encompass financial planning, reporting, leadership, risk management, funding, and team engagement. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to both day-to-day profitability and long-term strategic direction.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's ambitious growth targets, including forecasting, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Prepare and present timely financial reports to stakeholders, articulating the financial state of the business and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Provide financial leadership to the Executive team, identifying opportunities and risks to steer the company in the right direction.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with cash, capital, compliance, and strategy, implementing measures to mitigate these effectively.
  • Manage funding and investment activities to fuel business growth, including debt management, capital raising, and strategic decision-making.
  • Lead the Finance, Corporate Services, and HR team, fostering a culture of excellence and providing the necessary support for optimal performance.
Key Criteria:
  • Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or Economics, with CPA or CA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a CFO, ideally in a fast-growing private company or ASX-listed environment.
  • Experience in global markets operations and commercial finance.
  • Exceptional understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning.
  • Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills.

  • Managing fast growth while maintaining trusted partner status with key stakeholders.
  • Navigating global accounting, tax, and financial markets.
  • Diversifying revenue streams, particularly in the digital space.
  • Strategically addressing ESG concerns and leveraging them for growth opportunities.
