The Role


And now, we are looking for an ERP System Specialist to provide additional support to the JD Sports business system including ERP, EDI, Planning and Allocations, and WMS Systems.


The ERP System Specialist will work with key stakeholders to deliver change into the environment that supports all required processes and procedures, through an understanding of Support, Administration and Software Delivery, working with various supplier.

As the Retail ERP System Specialist, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Working with the wider CIO to contribute to the overall supply chain system Strategy and Plan
  • Manage a portfolio of projects to deliver the required change into the business
  • Work with vendors to define, design, test and implement changes into the production systems
  • Build and maintain a test base for regression testing for changes to ERP
  • Manage and fix inscope operational issues impacting the business including overnight batch processes
  • Document key processes and procedures maintaining a knowledge base that can be used to train other IT staff and the business
  • Onboarding of new suppliers for EDI including system setup
  • Identify common issues as problems and deliver solutions that will address root cause
  • Work with the Profit Protection Team to address Inventory issues impacting on store and warehouse performance
  • Report on agreed IT operational metrics with a view of continuous improvement
  • Make sure all upstream and downstream interfaces are functioning correctly and investigate resolutions where they are not
  • Ensuring data security by identifying potential security breaches or vulnerabilities in the system and implementing solutions to eliminate

Who You Are

  • Degree or Diploma in Information Technology and/or Business Degree in Commerce
  • 5+ years' experience working in retail supply chain
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role or IT Support position
  • An eagerness to learn with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ability to build and manage great relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ambitious and strategic with their approach
