Administration Assistant/Receptionist - Ultrasound/Medical Imaging

How you will make an impact:

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Entering patient referrals for inpatient and Emergency patients into visage. Communicating preparation, appointment time, infection control and transportation information.
  • Communicating with referrers and/or patients regarding appointments and preparation.
  • Collating the referrals entered into visage with their relevant boarding passes and completing the patient transfer slips.
  • Changing the linen bags and stocking all ultrasound rooms as required.
  • Answering the ultrasound phone, notifying the Ultrasound supervisor of any urgent matters.
  • Checking the boarding passes for any Outpatients and organise and collate them as instructed by the sonographers. When asked to by sonographers, accompany patients from main waiting room.
  • Assisting Orderlies in intradepartmental requests for patient transfer support. This includes transfers between Medical Imaging and Cardiorespiratory.

What you will bring to the role:
You will be committed to ensuring a high standard of service for our patient's visitors and staff, as well as able to provide high-quality administrative support and have the following:

  • Previous reception/office experience (preferably within healthcare and specifically medical imaging reception)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn patient administration software
  • Exceptional attention to detail, and ability to problem-solve
  • Positive attitude with excellent customer service skills and telephone manger
  • Adaptable to change within a busy, evolving service
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work efficiently, autonomously and respectfully within the team
