Exciting Opportunity Awaits

We are seeking an Operations Clerk to join our warm and diverse team at our StarTrack Road Facility located at 32 Boud Avenue Perth Airport. As an Operations Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team and various stakeholders across different facets of the business including operations, management, and customer service. Your responsibilities will involve tracking freight, obtaining delivery details from drivers, coordinating freight movements, and leveraging your exceptional organizational skills to ensure tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. This is a permanent full-time role, working from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, offering a competitive pay rate of $30.54 per hour with opportunities for occasional overtime at overtime rates.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in tracking and locating freight through phone calls, databases, and physical warehouse checks
  • Collect delivery information from drivers including estimated arrival times and proof of delivery
  • Coordinate freight movements by scheduling deliveries in coordination with drivers, recipients, and third parties
  • Perform data entry and general administrative tasks

Your Profile

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills to convey information logically and clearly
  • Proficient in software usage with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems - experience with MS Office and internal programs is a plus
  • Physically capable of lifting at least 30kg repeatedly, assessed during a pre-employment medical assessment to ensure safety at work
  • A team player with a passion for keeping the community connected
  • Enjoy problem-solving and investigative tasks
  • Flexible to work overtime occasionally with appropriate overtime compensation
  • Prior exposure to an operational environment is beneficial
