This well-established Government organization within the Education sector is dedicated to guiding students on their academic path and assisting them in making informed career choices. As a Counselling and Career Development Officer - Call Centre Representative, you will play a crucial role in our support network, offering valuable guidance and counsel to students as they navigate their educational and professional options.

We are seeking exceptional candidates who prioritize customer service to engage with potential and existing students, addressing inquiries, sharing information, resolving issues, and managing various administrative duties.

As this is a contract position, we are looking for individuals who can quickly adapt, are comfortable with a dynamic training period, and can hit the ground running.

Responsibilities include:
  • Managing a high volume of incoming inquiries from students via phone, email, and online chat
  • Providing guidance to students contacting the call center for information on courses, career paths, and educational objectives
  • Supplying comprehensive details on programs, course prerequisites, admission processes, and career prospects to potential and current students
  • Recording student interactions accurately while upholding confidentiality and privacy regulations
  • Performing general administrative tasks
Skill/Experience:
  • Prior experience in customer service or call center roles is desirable
  • Proficient with technology - Quick to learn new systems
  • Having relevant counseling or career development certification is advantageous, along with past involvement in counseling, career development, or educational advising
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Empathetic and skilled at building rapport with students
  • Attentive to detail and possessing strong organizational abilities
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
