BRIEF


We are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our Sydney office to support the implementation of the firm's sector plans in Australia and across the Asia Pacific region.

The role will support lawyers in all aspects of business development, covering a wide portfolio of BD tasks which include proposals, client targeting and account management, credentials materials and tactical marketing activity such as sponsorship and thought leadership eg.

sector campaigns and product development.


Reporting to the Business Development Manager, Australia, the role sits within the Asia Pacific Business Development, Communications & Marketing team which comprises more than 17 BD and communications professionals located in Beijing, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Singapore and Sydney.


Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the delivery of BD initiatives across the Australia offices to support the firm's strategy, grow profitable revenue, and monitor the implementation of key initiatives. Drive the generation of profitable revenue
  • Contribute to the firm's client relationship management programme (Atlas)
  • Support the _Brand & Comms Plan _for Australia, including planning and executing inperson and virtual events and sponsorships for Australia
  • Production of legal directory and awards submissions for Australia
  • Monitor the firm's sector environments to identify and educate on trends and developments, connecting these to our capability. Support the BDM in the identification of opportunities to acquire new clients/grow existing clients via targeted pursuits, leveraging firm campaign strategy where applicable
  • Coach and guide junior team members, and Legal PAs, on general approaches to BD

CANDIDATE OVERVIEW
Pinsent Masons is a growing firm in Australia with a strong emphasise on culture, diversity and inclusion.

Ideally you will have 3-5+ year's experience in a similar role, with a particular focus on drafting and managing client proposals, pursuits management, account management, and marketing, preferably in a professional services environment.
