Job Description:


Due to ongoing growth and some exciting project wins, we are seeking an experienced Associate-level Geotechnical Engineer to join our Sydney office.

Our Ground Engineering and Tunnelling team has many long-term Sydney based projects, which provide solid workload.

In addition to these projects there are a variety of technical advisor, tender, and design and construction projects throughout Australia as well as globally.


Some of your duties include:

  • Act as Project Manager or Design Lead to assist the Project Director in leading and managing all aspects of geotechnical and civil engineering projects.
  • Act as Geotechnical Lead to provide technical inputs for geotechnical design and related engineering consulting assignments.
  • Provide technical input for proposal preparation.
  • Coordinate with project team members, clients, government authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate project execution.
  • Prepare tender documents and provide technical assistance on tendering assessment.
  • Carry out site advisory roles for geotechnical and civil engineering works.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to less experienced geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists.

Qualifications:


We are looking for a collaborative and dynamic individual who enjoys mentoring junior professionals, paving the way for the next generation of geotechnical consultants.


You will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience in geotechnical consulting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven record in delivering geotechnical engineering projects.
  • Experience in ground characterisation and parameter development.
  • Ability to write clear, concise technical reports.
  • Strong problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Current Drivers licence.
  • Chartered with Engineers Australia or equivalent.
  • Experience in numerical modelling.
