Job Description: Texas Work Study, Academic Support Center

Duties:

  • Check in students and maintain Academic Support Center records' confidentiality
  • Answer questions and provide information about UHD student services
  • Assist with computer lab software/hardware, Blackboard, and services
  • Maintain and secure supplies and equipment (copier, printers, multimedia materials)
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, follow UHD emergency procedures
  • Complete clerical duties (data entry, filing, word processing, copying, mail distribution)
  • Execute all other assigned duties

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent customer service, communication skills, and telephone etiquette
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Blackboard
  • Ability to multitask, interact professionally with students, faculty, and staff
  • General knowledge of the UHD campus and student services
  • Reliable, punctual, available for flexible shifts (morning, night, weekends)
  • Part-time: twenty hours per week, Monday-Saturday
