We are currently looking for a
Treasury Operations Specialist to join our Shared Service team here in Brisbane. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the activities related to McNab's treasury function.


You will play a crucial role in overseeing cash management, liquidity, financial risk management, guarantees, and trust accounts to support successful construction projects and ensure compliance with industry regulations.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Prepare and analyse short and long-term cashflow projections to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operational and project-related expenses.
  • Monitor cash positions and coordinate with finance team members to make strategic decisions regarding investments and cash reserves.
  • Process disbursements from trust accounts to vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers based on project milestones and approved documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, customers and financial institutions to facilitate the holding of cash retention, issuance of guarantees and bonds as required by project contracts.
  • Establish and manage projectspecific trust funds in compliance with contractual agreements and legislative requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate potential financial risks associated with cashflow, covenants, guarantees, and trust management, proposing mitigation strategies to senior management.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on cashflow management, guarantee issuance, and trust fund procedures.

About you:

***- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Minimum of threeyears experience in treasury operations, preferably in the construction or related industry.
  • Familiarity with Queensland's legal and regulatory framework related to construction finance.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with stakeholders, financial institutions, and project teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
