WHO WE ARE

City Design is a unit within the Development and Growth Division responsible for delivering quality design projects in streetscapes and the public realm, open spaces, new links for walking, cycling and recreational trails, upgrades to major urban renewal sites and other urban and landscape design projects.


The small team is a passionate group of designers, placemakers and technical experts who believe in the future of Ballarat and the potential to make a positive impact on its future through great design and placemaking.


ABOUT THE ROLE

The areas you will work across will include:

  • Supporting the development of public realm projects from feasibility through concept and sketch design, preparation of functional layouts, design development and documentation as part of an in-house design team
  • Support the preparation of high
- quality design collateral including visualisations where required for community, stakeholder and funding body engagement purposes.

  • Working with internal and external stakeholders on the delivery of projects you have helped design.
  • Assistance with the preparation of tenders, proposals and submissions for projects.
This is an annualised band 6 role with salary commencing from $96,125 per annum, plus superannuation.

The successful incumbent may elect to have a monthly RDO which has a commencing salary of $90,082 per annum, plus superannuation.


ABOUT YOU

  • Organised and experienced in the daytoday project management of complex projects that are effectively delivered within budget and against predetermined timelines.
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to prepare written correspondence such as reports, tenders etc.
  • Builds connections with a diverse range of stakeholders and maintains engagement throughout projects.
  • Communicates well with others and able to consult and influence to achieve desired outcomes.
