Compass Group is a prominent player in catering and support services. ESS is the top-tier support services segment of Compass Group, collaborating with key businesses in the oil and gas, mining, construction, and defense industries.

We are currently looking for a skilled Health & Wellbeing Coordinator for a Full-Time position at the highly sought-after Groote Eylandt site in Northern Territory.

The perfect candidate will be a dynamic and passionate health, fitness, and lifestyle professional, capable of working a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule with 12-hour shifts.

Our globally recognized Tastelife program integrates healthy eating, education, exercise, and lifestyle activities to provide a comprehensive approach ensuring the mental and physical well-being of the residents.

Flights, accommodation, and meals are provided from Cairns or Darwin only.

The Position

  • Plan and organize engaging social events on-site
  • Lead various group fitness activities and classes for residents
  • Execute and contribute to company-wide health initiatives
  • Supervise all sports, leisure, and recreational activities/facilities on-site
  • Carry out Health Assessments and Gym Inductions for residents
  • Conduct educational seminars when necessary
  • Ensure adherence to communication and reporting procedures

The Person

  • A Certificate IV in Fitness, Diploma of Sport and Recreation, or a relevant health degree is a must
  • Minimum of 12 months' experience in a similar setting
  • Up-to-date first aid and CPR certifications
  • Australian manual driver's license (preferred)
  • Passion for physical and mental health and fitness
  • Prior experience in leading group fitness activities and classes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in the technical aspects of gym and recreational facilities
  • Strong focus on engaging with clients and village residents
  • Events coordination experience
  • Background in health promotion
